Heat pump system replacement in Southlake, TX

A heat pump heats and cools with one outdoor unit and an air handler inside. We install matched heat pump systems with the installed price printed on the page.

Heat pump system replacement in Southlake

In a multi-system Southlake home, we'll price a heat pump next to a gas system for the unit being replaced, sized from its own duct layout.

Southlake houses are big, and three- and four-system homes are common. That changes the math: a matched replacement on the system that carries the most load, sized from the actual duct layout rather than the nameplate, is usually the right move. We bring the real installed number, not a starting-at price.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Send what you have

Text a photo of the data plate on your current equipment and your address, or book a visit. That's usually enough to know what's there now.

  2. Step 2

    Size it for the house

We size from the house and the duct layout, not just the old nameplate, and quote a matched system with the installed price on it.

  3. Step 3

    Install day

Most single-system replacements are done in a day. The old equipment is hauled away.

  4. Step 4

    Start it up properly

The new system is started, charged and checked before we leave, and you're shown how it runs.

Questions Southlake homeowners ask

My AC is running but not cooling. Do I need a new system?

Not necessarily. The most common reasons a system stops cooling are a clogged condensate drain line, a dirty air filter, and a failed capacitor. Check the drain line first: when it clogs, the float switch shuts the system off on purpose, and running a drain line cleaner through it can save you a visit and a trip charge. Then check the filter, since a clogged one can freeze the coil. If both look fine, it's often the capacitor on the outdoor unit. Leave that one to a technician, because it holds a charge even with the power off. Not sure what you're looking at? Book a video call and we'll walk you through it.

Can I switch from gas to a heat pump?

Usually, yes. The furnace is replaced with an air handler and electric backup heat, and the gas line is capped. We'll check that your electrical panel can carry it before quoting.

Does a heat pump keep up in a Texas freeze?

With properly sized electric backup heat strips, yes. The strips carry the load on the coldest nights, and we size them as part of the system.

Is financing available?

Yes. See the financing page for current options, or ask when you get your quote.
