Evaporator coil replacement in Denton, TX

The evaporator coil is the indoor half of your AC. When it leaks or fails we replace it alone, or with a matching condenser, with the installed price on the page.

Coil replacement in Denton

When a coil leaks in a Denton home, we'll show you the price for the coil alone and for a matched condenser and coil, so you can decide with both numbers.

Denton runs from older houses around the Square and the streets near UNT and TWU to newer subdivisions on the south and west sides of town, so the equipment ranges just as widely. In an older home we look at where the system actually sits and how the ducts run before we price anything; the newer builds are mostly standard attic systems. How it works

  1. Step 1

    Send what you have

Text a photo of the data plate on your current equipment and your address, or book a visit. That's usually enough to know what's there now.

  2. Step 2

    Size it for the house

We size from the house and the duct layout, not just the old nameplate, and quote a matched system with the installed price on it.

  3. Step 3

    Install day

Most single-system replacements are done in a day. The old equipment is hauled away.

  4. Step 4

    Start it up properly

The new system is started, charged and checked before we leave, and you're shown how it runs.

Questions Denton homeowners ask

My AC is running but not cooling. Do I need a new system?

Not necessarily. The most common reasons a system stops cooling are a clogged condensate drain line, a dirty air filter, and a failed capacitor. Check the drain line first: when it clogs, the float switch shuts the system off on purpose, and running a drain line cleaner through it can save you a visit and a trip charge. Then check the filter, since a clogged one can freeze the coil. If both look fine, it's often the capacitor on the outdoor unit. Leave that one to a technician, because it holds a charge even with the power off. Not sure what you're looking at? Book a video call and we'll walk you through it.

Should I replace just the coil, or the condenser too?

If the condenser is newer and uses the same refrigerant, a coil alone can make sense. If it's the same age or uses older refrigerant, a matched condenser and coil is usually the better spend, and we'll show you both prices.

How do I know the coil is leaking?

The system loses refrigerant over and over and stops cooling. A technician confirms it with a leak test before anything is replaced.

Is financing available?

Yes. See the financing page for current options, or ask when you get your quote.
